The stakes are high for tomorrow’s Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association A2 Grade final at Collendina.
Not only will Drysdale or Armstrong Creek get to celebrate a premiership, it will also gain promotion to A1 Grade next season.
Drysdale finished top of the ladder and progressed through to the final with a thrilling tie against Winchelsea while Armstrong wore down a persistent Barwon Heads.
Armstrong Creek will welcome back gun bat Dylan Flanigan for the game.
Flanigan has scored 512 runs this season at the imposing average of 64.
Cameron Chisholm has made 310 runs this season, but his last three scores have yielded just 13.
Drysdale captain Nick Hallam has 520 runs at 40 while opener Jason Malcolm has compiled 363.
On the bowling side of things, spinner Bailey Sykes has taken 32 wickets while left-arm seamer Jason Robertson has 26 for the Titans.
If the Hawks win, Sykes will cap off a wonderful season by celebrating with his father David, who has an impressive 20 wickets for the season.
Hawks’ left-arm seamer Dylan Justice has 22 wickets while the Titans’ Daniel MacLean has 20.
Titans leggie Grace Jones has 17 wickets in what has been an impressive season for the teenager.
The Hawks will go in as slight favourites and seem to be a slightly more rounded team, but the inclusion of Flanigan will bolster Armstrong Creek’s batting line-up considerably.
Tomorrow’s match begins at 1pm at Collendina Recreation Reserve.
