An even finals series looms as the Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association A2 Grade semi-finals begin today.

Not much separates Barwon Heads and Armstrong Creek in ability.

The Heads prevailed in the two sides’ previous encounter.

Barwon Heads’ batting line-up is stacked with talent but has rarely put it all together at the same time.

Ben Harris hits the ball hard as does Darcy Hewitt.

The bowling is steady without being fearsome. The Heads will likely set a ring field and hope that their medium pacers can bowl one side of the wicket.

The Titans also bat deep with Dylan Flanigan and Cam Chisholm the standouts this season.

Drysdale hosts Winchelsea in the other semi.

Nick Hallam has 506 runs for the season while Jason Malcolm has 345.

Spinner Bailey Sykes has 31 wickets at 10.87 while his father David has 18 at an even better average of 10.44.

Matt Partridge and Sam Riseley have 43 wickets between them for Winch while Ash Hubbert has 331 runs and Adam Korth 314.
