Calling all tradies

It’s not too late to nominate for the Ocean Grove Rotary Club Community Awards, but you’d better get in quick.

Nominations close on March 1.

The awards include excellence in four major areas: small business, volunteering, pride of workmanship and apprentices.

“We are calling for nominations in all four areas, but in particular for the apprenticeship category,” public relations director of Ocean Grove Rotary Alan Keyse said.

“We are looking for employers and the general public to nominate a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice for this award. The award focuses on apprentices that are proficient and excel in areas such as work ethic, performance, motivation and sociability.”The winning apprentice will receive a cheque for $500 along with a plaque and certificate.

Nominations can be made on line at rotaryoceangrove.org.au or a form is available from Newsexpress at 82 The Terrace, Ocean Grove.
