Assault near popular beach

Police want to speak to a person why may look this.

Police wish to speak to a woman who may be able to help with the enquiries over an alleged assault this morning.

A woman was walking towards Barwon Heads and was approached and attacked at 17W (Raafs Beach car park) by another female.

The assault occurred in the lower section of carpark visible to Barwon Heads Road.

The alleged female offender is described late 30s to early 40s, about 155cm to 160cm, long wavy hair brown hair past her shoulders, large brown oversized sunglasses, brown leather handbag.

The alleged offender tried to take the victim’s phone stating “I’ve had people taking photos of me, give me your phone”.

The offender and then punch the victim to the left chest hard as the victim has fended her off. The offender has then come back punching a second time with both fists with the victim fending her off again.

The offender was last seen walking the coastal track back towards Ocean Grove Surf Club at that time.
